Here are the top performers from Week 13 of the high school football season along with basketball and soccer the week of Nov. 17-22. Each week we do top performers for all sports, so please send nominees on Saturday or Sunday to Brandon Shields. Deadline is every Sunday night at 8 p.m.

Player of the Week: George Wilcox, QB, Leake Academy: Went 24-of-36 passing for 219 yards with a touchdown and carried the ball 38 times for 184 yards and two touchdowns in the Rebels 25-24 win over Tri-County Academy to claim the MAIS Class 3A, Division I state championship.

FOOTBALL

Adam Alexander, LB, Jackson Academy: Totaled 11 tackles, two tackles for loss, and a ack in the Raiders 50-14 win over Hartfield Academy to claim the MAIS Class 4A, Division I state championship.

Brayden Antici, QB, Lee Academy: Went 8-of-14 passing for 159 yards and a touchdown in the Colts 32-20 loss to Centreville Academy.

Kross Avent, QB, East Webster: Went 7-of-12 passing for 245 yards with three touchdowns and added a 33-yard rushing touchdown in the Wolverines 61-40 win over Charleston.

Matthew Barnes, WR, Seminary: Hauled in four catches for 132 yards with a touchdown and added 62 yards rushing on five carries in the Bulldogs 15-3 win over Franklin County.

Aaric Beasley, RB, Jackson Academy: Rushed 15 times for 142 yards with three touchdowns in the Raiders 50-14 win over Hartfield Academy to claim the MAIS Class 4A, Division I state championship.

Beau Boatner, RB, Winston Academy: Ran the ball 15 times for 104 yards with a touchdown in the Patriots 20-0 win over Oak Hill Academy to claim the MAIS Class 2A, Division II state championship.

Tydarious Boyd, DB, Kemper County: Recorded three tackles and a 75-yard interception return for a touchdown in the Wildcats 50-32 win over Northside.

Quincy Burt, LB, Winona: Totaled six tackles, four sacks, and three tackles for loss in the Tigers 42-20 win over Aberdeen.

Rashad Campbell, RB, Holmes County: Ran the ball 11 times for 127 yards with three touchdowns and had two receptions for 44 yards in the Jaguars 36-14 win over Cleveland Central.

Kardez Copeland, WR, Parklane Academy: Had three catches for 100 yards with a touchdown in the Pioneers 42-0 win over Heritage Academy to claim the MAIS Class 4A, Division II state championship.

Chase Craft, QB, Heidelberg: Went 6-of-10 passing for 148 yards with three touchdowns, rushed 15 times for 171 yards with three touchdowns, and converted three two-point conversions in the Oilers 64-14 win over Clarkdale.

Cooper Crosby, RB, Gulfport: Rushed 18 times for 105 yards and two touchdowns in the Admirals 45-10 win over Petal.

Ashton Daniels, RB, Columbia: Carried the ball 15 times for 110 yards with two touchdowns in the Wildcats 41-6 win over Pass Christian.

Tez Davis, DE, Winona: Had six tackles, four tackles for loss, two sacks, and seven quarterback hurries in the Tigers 42-20 win over Aberdeen.

Xavier Dennis, RB, Picayune: Rushed 16 times for 333 yards and five touchdowns in the Maroon Tide’s 52-20 win over Hancock.

Gavin Ducksworth, QB, Hattiesburg: Went 11-of-19 passing for 122 yards with two touchdowns and added 15 yards rushing on five carries in the Tigers 35-20 win over Pascagoula.

Jason Edwards, QB, Horn Lake: Went 12-of-24 passing for 166 yards with two touchdowns and added 50 yards rushing on five carries in the Eagles 37-27 loss to Oxford.

Triston Edwards, QB, Louisville: Went 20-of-25 passing for 195 yards and two touchdowns in the Wildcats 34-16 win over Clarksdale.

Jace Eldridge, K, Brandon: Went 3-for-3 on field goals from 27, 34, and 35 yards out and went 2-for-2 on extra points in the Bulldogs 30-27 overtime win over Oak Grove.

Brennan Ellison, WR, Parklane Academy: Hauled in four catches for 128 yards with a touchdown in the Pioneers 42-0 win over Heritage Academy to claim the MAIS Class 4A, Division II state championship.

C.J. Ferguson, RB, Adams Christian: Carried the ball 24 times for 200 yards with two touchdowns in the Rebels 28-22 win over Marshall Academy to claim the MAIS Class 3A, Division II state championship.

Collin Flanigan, TE/LB, Oxford: Totaled eight tackles, a tackle for loss, and had a 46-yard touchdown catch in the Chargers 37-27 win over Horn Lake.

Conner Floyd, QB, Marshall Academy: Went 8-of-14 passing for 298 yards and two touchdowns in the Patriots 28-22 loss to Adams Christian.

D.J. Gatson, RB, Simmons: Ran the ball 14 times for 103 yards and three touchdowns in the Blue Devils 20-8 win over Nanih Waiya.

Lathaan Gavin, WR/FS, Heidelberg: Had three receptions for 97 yards with two touchdowns and two tackles, two pass break-ups, and a interception on defense in the Oilers 64-14 win over Clarkdale.

Christon Glenn, WR, Noxubee County: Hauled in five catches for 130 yards and two touchdowns in the Tigers 34-33 win over Choctaw County.

Ayden Green, RB, Stone: Rushed 19 times for 113 yards with a touchdown in the Tomcats 24-21 loss to Laurel.

Javious Hales, WR/DB, Gulfport: Had three catches for 93 yards with a touchdown and had a interception on defense in the Admirals 45-10 win over Petal.

Brendan Harper, RB, Raleigh: Caught four passes for 74 yards and two touchdowns in the Lions 35-21 win over Union.

Dee Haughton, DL, West Point: Recorded five tackles, three tackles for loss, and a sack in the Green Wave’s 37-0 win over Pontotoc.

J.J. Hill, RB, Tupelo: Carried the ball 13 times for 158 yards with two touchdowns in the Golden Wave’s 35-28 win over Germantown.

Yoshawn Hudson, RB, Winona: Rushed 14 times for 273 yards and three touchdowns in the Tigers 42-20 win over Aberdeen.

Braxton Hughes, QB, Parklane Academy: Went 10-of-13 passing for 351 yards with two touchdowns and added a rushing touchdown in the Pioneers 42-0 win over Heritage Academy to claim the MAIS Class 4A, Division II state championship.

Zaiden Jernigan, RB, Louisville: Had 27 carries for 162 yards and a touchdown in the Wildcats 34-16 win over Clarksdale.

Cooper Johnson, QB, Tri-County Academy: Went 5-of-9 passing for 134 yards and two touchdowns in the Rebels 25-24 loss to Leake Academy.

Terell Johnson, DB, Holmes County: Recorded 17 tackles, two tackles for loss, a pass break-up, and a fumble recovery in the Jaguars 36-14 win over Cleveland Central.

Ty Keys, RB, Poplarville: Rushed 22 times for 436 yards with seven touchdowns in the Hornets 55-20 win over McComb.

Knox Kiffin, QB, Oxford: Went 12-of-20 passing for 202 yards with a touchdown and added 76 yards rushing on eight carries and a touchdown in the Chargers 37-27 win over Horn Lake.

Tra Lewis, RB/LB, Columbia: Had 17 carries for 84 yards, converted a two-point conversion, recorded 11 tackles, a forced fumble, and a 26-yard interception return for a touchdown in the Wildcats 41-6 win over Pass Christian.

Xae Mayes, QB, Biggersville: Went 20-of-31 passing for 272 yards and two touchdowns in the Lions 29-12 win over Okolona.

J.J. McCullum, QB/LB, Raleigh: Went 5-of-7 passing for 137 yards with two touchdowns, ran the ball 11 times for 83 yards with two touchdowns, caught a 21-yard touchdown pass, and had seven tackles on defense in the Lions 35-21 win over Union.

Madaylan McKenzie, DE, Heidelberg: Totaled five tackles, four tackles for loss, three sacks, and a pass break-up in the Oilers 64-14 win over Clarkdale.

Jayson McMullin, QB, Winston Academy: Went 5-of-10 passing for 58 yards with a touchdown and added 30 yards rushing on nine carries and a touchdown in the Patriots 20-0 win over Oak Hill Academy to claim the MAIS Class 2A, Division II state championship.

Jeramiah Miller, RB, Choctaw County: Carried the ball 21 times for 157 yards with five touchdowns and added four catches for 50 yards in the Chargers 34-33 loss to Noxubee County.

Parker Nettles, QB, Gulfport: Went 11-of-16 passing for 206 yards with two touchdowns and added a rushing touchdown in the Admirals 45-10 win over Petal.

Marquis Perkins, DB, Raleigh: Recorded 10 tackles and a sack in the Lions 35-21 win over Union.

Clydarrion Peters, QB, Columbia: Rushed 10 times for 128 yards and two touchdowns in the Wildcats 41-6 win over Pass Christian.

Anthony Ponce, DB, Hattiesburg: Recorded 11 total tackles, two tackles for loss, two pass break-ups, and a interception in the Tigers 35-20 win over Pascagoula.

Lakendrick Potts, WR/DB, East Webster: Caught six passes for 180 yards with two touchdowns and intercepted two passes, returning one 60 yards for a touchdown, in the Wolverines 61-40 win over Charleston.

Daylan Richardson, DL, Simmons: Totaled eight tackles and a sack in the Blue Devils 20-8 win over Nanih Waiya.

Tyson Robinson, RB, Brandon: Ran the ball 20 times for 74 yards and a touchdown in the Bulldogs 30-27 overtime win over Oak Grove.

C.J. Sandifer, RB, Kosciusko: Rushed 28 times for 169 yards and a touchdown in the Whippets 14-3 win over Corinth.

Liam Schwartz, RB, Centreville Academy: Had 22 carries for 131 yards and a touchdown in the Tigers 32-20 win over Lee Academy to claim the MAIS Class 2A, Division I state championship.

Tayshawn Scott, RB, Taylorsville: Carried the ball17 times for 215 yards with three touchdowns in the Tartars 36-0 win over Leake County.

Brooks Seago, WR/DB, Biggersville: Had 13 catches for 155 yards with two touchdowns and 10 tackles on defense in the Lions 29-12 win over Okolona.

Floyd Sinegal, RB, Horn Lake: Ran the ball 22 times for 212 yards and a touchdown in the Eagles 37-27 loss to Oxford.

Cooper Stidham, QB, East Webster: Went 10-of-14 passing for 170 yards and three touchdowns in the Wolverines 61-40 win over Charleston.

Jadein Taylor, ATH, Noxubee County: Went 7-fo-17 passing for 150 yards with two touchdowns, 18 carries for 133 yards with two touchdowns, and had 12 tackles on defense in the Tigers 34-33 win over Choctaw County.

Quentin Thompson, RB, West Point: Rushed seven times for 166 yards with two touchdowns in the Green Wave’s 37-0 win over Pontotoc.

Khari Towner, RB, Lamar School: Carried the ball 22 times for 106 yards and a touchdown in the Raiders 34-17 win over Brookhaven Academy to claim the MAIS Class 4A, Division III state championship.

Jalin Trotter, WR/DB, Lamar School: Had a 34-yard touchdown catch and a 90-yard interception return for a touchdown in the Raiders 34-17 win over Brookhaven Academy to claim the MAIS Class 4A, Division III state championship.

Chaka Walker, LB, Warren Central: Recorded 15 tackles, a tackle for loss, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery in the Vikings 24-7 win over Lake Cormorant.

Josef Walker, QB, Jackson Academy: Went 10-of-12 passing for 115 yards and added 70 yards rushing on eight carries and three touchdowns in the Raiders 50-14 win over Hartfield Academy to claim the MAIS Class 4A, Division I state championship.

Travion Washington, LB, Brandon: Recorded 16 tackles and five tackles for loss in the Bulldogs 30-27 overtime win over Oak Grove.

King White, QB, Germantown: Went 14-of-21 passing for 129 yards with two touchdowns and added a rushing touchdown in the Mavericks 35-28 loss to Tupelo.

Damarius Yates, RB, Kemper County: Had 18 touchdowns for 259 all-purpose yards and five touchdowns in the Wildcats 50-32 win over Northside.

Davion Young, WR/DB, Hattiesburg: Caught six passes for 80 yards with two touchdowns, ran the ball five times for 89 yards with two touchdowns, and had three tackles along with a interception on defense in the Tigers 35-20 win over Pascagoula.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Warwick Alley, St. Andrew’s: Scored 23 points, grabbed seven rebounds, dished out five assists, and had steals in the Saints 63-45 win over Hillcrest Christian and had 23 points, 11 rebounds, six steals, and two steals in a 68-49 win over Richton.

Cory Guyton, Kosciusko: Had 20 points, six assists, and three rebounds in the Whippets 74-54 win over Newton County and had 23 points, seven rebounds, and three assists in a 79-46 win over Eupora.

William Johnson, St. Andrew’s: Had 16 points and eight rebounds in the Saints 63-45 win over Hillcrest Christian and had 16 points, 18 rebounds, and blocked four shots in a 68-49 win over Richton.

Toby Smith, Simpson Academy: Scored 28 points in the Cougars 85-29 win over East Rankin and scored 26 points in a 77-71 overtime loss to Copiah Academy.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Jaida Bennett, Northwest Rankin: In two games averaged 11 points, 8.5 rebounds, 3.5 blocks, and 2.5 steals in the Lady Cougars 53-47 win over Choctaw Central and 63-39 win over Terry.

Avery Buchanan, Jackson Academy: Had 15 points, four rebounds, three steals, and an assist in the Lady Raiders 52-14 win over Benton Academy.

Jamyla Dixon, Perry Central: Had 20 points, five rebounds, four assists, and four steals in the Lady Bulldogs 54-43 win over Poplarville, had 21 points, six steals, and a rebound in a 53-10 win over Salem and had 25 points, seven rebounds, seven steals, and seven assists in a 61-31 win over Pass Christian.

Ja’kayla Hunter, West Lincoln: Had 11 points and eight rebounds in the Lady Bears 66-30 win over Enterprise-Lincoln and had 17 points and 13 rebounds in a 54-14 win over Amite County.

Callie McAfee, Puckett: Scored 34 points in the Lady Wolves 60-39 win over Enterprise-Clarke, scored 25 points in a 77-9 win over Raleigh, and scored 39 points in a 77-36 win over MSD.

Elle McNulty, Simpson Academy: Scored 28 points in the Lady Cougars 61-13 win over Copiah Academy and scored 26 points in a 57-53 loss to East Rankin.

Ahmya Norwood, Florence: Scored 29 points in the Lady Eagles 49-32 win over Jackson Prep.

Brookelyn Roberts, Thrasher: Had 27 points, 11 rebounds, and three steals in the Lady Rebels 75-50 loss to Ingomar and had 27 points, 17 rebounds, and five steals in a 57-52 loss to New Site.

Karley Robinson, Madison Central: Had 19 points, five assists, three steals, and three rebounds in the Lady Jaguars 56-55 win over Meridian.

Chloe Sterling, West Lincoln: Had 23 points, four rebounds, and three steals in the Lady Bears 66-30 win over Enterprise-Lincoln and had 16 points, four rebounds, and two steals in a 54-14 win over Amite County.

GIRLS SOCCER

Presley Kirkland, Sumrall: Scored two goals in the Lady Bobcats 3-1 win over West Jones and had three assists in a 5-1 win over Purvis.

Ashton Stringfellow, Sumrall Scored two goals in the Lady Bobcats 5-1 win over Purvis and had a goal and an assist in a 3-1 win over West Jones.
