Jackson Academy’s Moss commits to Ohio State

-

The state’s top offensive lineman has made his decision.

Jackson Academy’ Caden Moss committed to Ohio State on Friday night at the Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame and Museum in front of a packed house full of family, friends, and coaches.

Moss, a 6-foot-5 330-pound four-star interior offensive lineman, chose the Buckeyes over Ole Miss, Oregon, LSU, Kentucky, and Tennessee.

“It was a long hectic journey going to a lot of different campuses, met a lot of different coaches, and thankful for all those coaches for recruiting me and believing in me, but glad I finally made a decision and very pleased with the decision I made,” Moss said. “I’m excited to get to Columbus. With Ohio State you know what you’re going to get. They’re a winning program and going to compete for a national championship every year and developed by the best coaches in college football.”

Moss is known for his size and athleticism that excels as a down blocker with force.

In 2025 Moss helped Jackson Academy to an 11-1 season and claimed the MAIS Class 4A, Division I state championship.

“This means a lot and this a special opportunity. Not a lot of people get this opportunity, and I am blessed to get to do this,” Moss said. “Every weekend in June I was on a visit, so it was a crazy process but gathering as much information you can from every school to make the best decision.”
