Jaylon Ruffin | Quarterback, Hinds
Hinds quarterback Jaylon Ruffin (Starkville, MS / Starkville HS) completed 28-of-46 passes for 340 yards and four touchdowns in a 28-27 loss to Itawamba.
Jackson Firmin | All-Purpose, Pearl River
Pearl River quarterback Jackson Firmin (Baton Rouge, LA / Central HS) completed 19-of-31 passes for 314 yards and two touchdowns in a win over Holmes. Firmin also had 14 rushes for 110 yards and three touchdowns.
Carlos Benjamin | Running Back, Itawamba
Itawamba running back Carlos Benjamin (Mobile, AL / Vigor HS) had 17 carries for 151 yards and a touchdown including an 80-yard touchdown run in a 28-27 win over Hinds. Benjamin also had a 70-yard touchdown reception.
TyAnthony Elmore | Wide Receiver, Northwest
Northwest wide receiver TyAnthony Elmore (Montgomery, AL / Johnson Abernathy Graetz HS) had 15 receptions for 243 yards and a touchdown in a 38-35 win over Jones College.
Alandez Blaylock | Defensive Line, Pearl River
Pearl River defensive end Alandez Blaylock (Hattiesburg, MS / Oak Grove HS) had six tackles including three tackles for loss in a win over Holmes.
Lacoyrius Branch | Linebacker, Mississippi Delta
Mississippi Delta sophomore linebacker Lacoyrius Branch (Cleveland, MS / Cleveland Central) had 12 total tackles including nine solo stops with two forced fumbles, a fumble recovery and an interception in a 25-24 win over Co-Lin.
La’Zeric Johnson | Defensive Back, Gulf Coast
Gulf Coast defensive back La’Zeric Johnson (Eight Mile, AL / Blount HS) had 12 total tackles with two tackles for loss and a pass breakup in a 27-21 win over Coahoma..
Will Uselton | Kicker, Northwest
Northwest kicker/punter Will Uselton (Hernando, MS / Hernando HS) scored eight points on 5-of-5 extra points and 1-of-3 field goals in a 38-35 win over Jones College. Uselton also punted five times for a 40.8 yard average with three punts inside the 20-yard-line.
